The annual ncaa "Hawai'i north shore showcase" returns to the islands as teams from Colorado university, Texas a&m university, university of Texas at Arlington, and Virginia commonwealth university took part in the showcase. with a trip to paradise, the four teams looked to handle business as they prepare themselves for the tough schedule ahead.
the j5 inc have hosted this tournament going back to 2022. since then, they've invited some big name schools to the islands to display their skills and talents.
day 1:
Hawai'i North Shore Showcase
The annual NCAA Tournament held at BYU-Hawai'i hosted the University of Colorado and the University of Texas at Arlington Saturday afternoon. In a preseason matchup on the North Shore of O’ahu, both teams looked to fine tune their game before heading into their conference schedule.
it was a slow start for both teams from the start. ut Arlington would keep the game close in the first half, but colorado would find their offensive rythem in the second half. Colorado’s Sophomore Guard, Kennedy Sanders, had no problem adjusting to paradise as she recorded 19 points and 9-9 FT. The Colorado Buffaloes start their tournament off with a win and look to continue to stay perfect in paradise.

Day 2:
Aggies finished business in paradise
The final day of the "Hawai’i North Shore Showcase" saw the Colorado Buffaloes and the Texas A&M Aggies. Colorado looked to finish the tournament unbeaten, while the Aggies looked to bounce back after a loss on Monday. It was all Aggies from the Tipoff, but the Buffaloes didn’t let the big early deficit affect them. although the lady buffaloes struggled from the field, they outscored the Aggies in the second quarter to make the comeback and be up one going into the half.
With all the momentum heading into the Colorado locker room, Texas A&M Guard, Ny’ceara Pryor, would not let the game slip away from them in the second half. the lady buffaloes still had control of the game to start the 3rd quarter, but that would change as Pryor and the Aggies would make a run and didn't give up the lead. She would finish the game with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. after a big start to trailing behind to eventually regaining their lead, The Aggies would take care of business on their final day in paradise and finish the tournament 2-1 and be named your 2025 Hawai'i north shore showcase champions.
